Are you hosting a smaller crowd? If you’re cooking for two to four people, don’t buy the whole turkey!
Unless somebody adores dark meat, you can get away with buying a turkey breast.
In addition to being budget friendly, this also helps with cooking time (fewer pounds = shorter cook time). Plus you get all of the flavor and even leftovers and a good amount of bones for making stock (watch for a future tip about stock).
